Surface Workshop opened in 2012 as part of Prop Workshop and is now 4 flights down on the 10th floor.
Our 1000+ surface showroom is open Monday-Friday 8:30-6 and Saturday by appt. Rentals are by the week.
We’re a super-creative, consignor-based team of finders and makers
with years of experience in our complicated industry.
If at all possible, try and visit in person. We’re very hands-on; you can move things around, get clarity/help/ideas. But if you can’t make it in, use the worksheet to order by adding surfaces to the cart or just email/text/call and we’ll get back right away.
If there’s something you need but don’t see, ask…. we love collaboration and can usually accommodate custom work.

Our prices regularly fluctuate due to a myriad of external reasons. We try to be as accurate as we can, but there may be a case where an item online is priced slightly differently in the studio. We are working diligently to ensure that there are no disparities between online and in studio prices.
We are located near the 34th Street Herald Square location and the 28th Street station.
